When opportunity arises, it's important to support where you can and give back to those less fortunate than yourselves. We're very proud to be invovled in vairous charity work throughout the year.
For November, we're proud to sponsor the Oshwal community in their efforts to raise money for an amazing medical camp in India, which can help thousands of people. We have donated an Osko & Butler vegan hamper to help the cause and the prize is part of a raffle to hopefully help reach upwards of £50,000.
In December 2010, Oshwal Association of the UK raised c£150,000 to help the underprivileged in Jamnagar, India. This was part of a greater worldwide effort by the Oshwal Community, which provided over 31,000 items of aid, such as artificial hand & foot aids, crutches, waist, collar & knee belts, tricycles and wheelchairs, hearing aids, etc. Due to this immense effort, the lives of many underprivileged people were improved.
Eight years on, in 2018, it is now the Association’s 50th year in the UK! To mark 50 Golden Years in the UK, the Oshwal Community will be embarking upon another Medical Camp. The Camp will provide medical aids for the disabled and those with special needs. It will also provide assistance for other medical requirements, such as general health, eye and dental care.
The Medical Camp will be held from the 9th to the 18th of February 2018 at the Oshwal Centre in Jamnagar, India. We are well on our way to raising our target of £50,000 to host this Medical Camp via various fundraising efforts within the Oshwal Community.
One way to get involved is by dancing the night away at the Oshwal Community’s first Annual Ball to be held on Saturday the 18th November 2017. This will be a Black Tie event like no other! Floating canapes and welcome drinks will be followed by a three course meal served at your table (fully catered for vegetarian and vegan diets).
There will also be a raffle for a chance to win many prizes, including an Osko & Butler hamper worth £75!
